Mid-October is ideal for Smoky Mountains fall color and garden visits. Highlights include a round-trip ride on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, a visit to the beautiful Sarah P. Duke Gardens at Duke University, and Raleigh’s Juniper Level Botanic Gardens (home to the unique Plant Delights Nursery), known for rare plants and distinctive trees and shrubs. We’ll also meet and tour the private gardens of award-winning landscape designer Jay Sifford and award-winning garden author, Brie “The Plant Lady” Arthur.
